There is no such thing as a ‘one-size-fits-all’ resin; despite what many contractors will want to tell you. Different resins respond in different ways to different environments; some can withstand extremely hot and cold temperatures, some are able to withstand intense foot and vehicle traffic, are resistant to chemicals, are UV resistant and some are waterproof. There are additives that can be mixed into the resin to improve the resin’s capabilities, though some additives may affect the performance of the resin in other ways. Either way, you need to make sure you speak to an expert who knows their chemicals and who can customise a resin floor to suit your customised needs.
